At Class People, we are delighted to be able to supply education recruitment in Gloucestershire from our headquarters in Cheltenham, right on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Cheltenham’s history spans back over 1,200 years ago, where it began as an Anglo-Saxon village, before becoming a market town just under 30 years later.

It became famous for its medicinal waters, which were discovered in the 18th century, and is known now as the most “complete” Regency town in England.

Over its lifetime, Cheltenham has attracted a number of well-known historical figures, including the likes of King George III and author Jane Austen.

Throughout its fascinating history, Cheltenham has also grown into a popular centre for learning.

This began in 1841 with the opening of Cheltenham Proprietary College for Boys, followed by the still-famous Cheltenham Ladies College just 13 years later.

Cheltenham is also home to the renowned Cheltenham College, as well as the three of the University of Gloucestershire’s four campuses, offering a wide variety of higher education courses. In fact, some of our own staff here at Class People have trained and studied at the university!

What’s more, Cheltenham has the Sandford Education Centre Medical School and Cheltenham Language Academy among others to its name; and that’s before counting its highly-commended nurseries, primary and secondary schools.

So, in terms of education recruitment in Gloucestershire, Cheltenham is a real hot spot!
