Our top 6 best teacher blogs

1. Teacher Toolkit

Best for: General education sector news, resources, and hot topics.

Our favourite blog post so far: Teachers, Take a 'Brain Break'!

Teacher Toolkit is the UK’s most influential teaching blogs and one of the most widely read education websites across the globe – and it’s no surprise why when you have a read of their blog!

From teaching and classroom tips and informative podcasts to the biggest debates in the education sector, their insight and advice helps a multitude of teaching professionals daily.

 2. We Are Teachers

Best for: Advice, classroom ideas, and humour.

According to WeAreTeachers, their goal is to “inspire teachers and help them to succeed by sharing practical classroom ideas, teacher-to-teacher advice, and humour”.

3. The Confident Teacher

Best for: Developing confident minds, bodies, students, and leadership skills.

Our favourite blog post so far: Five Teacher Fears

Alex Quigley, Director of Huntington Research School in York and Research School Developer for the EEF, offers practical advice to teachers in order to promote their mental and physical confidence in his classroom blog.

It’s a fantastic resource for teachers who want to develop or improve their habits and techniques in order to reach their full teaching potential. Alex is also an English teacher and has a great section on his website for vocab, too!

4. Tes.com

Best for: Current news and views in the sector.

When it comes to the best teacher blogs, Tes.com is a confident winner and has been a staple resource for teachers for years - and for good reason!

Their blog essentially contains anything and everything a teacher could need for their pupils, classrooms, career and personal development - and much, much more.

Best of all, their contributors all currently work in the education sector, which means they bring fresh perspectives, ideas, resources and insight to the blog every day!

5. Twinkl

Best for: Resources and news.

Our favourite blog so far: New Self Care Practices to Try This Year

As well as being one of Class People’s favourite places to direct teachers for classroom resources, Twinkl also has a fantastic blog that’s bursting at the seams with great ideas and advice.

6. Bored Teachers

Best for: Belly laughs!

All the blogs we’ve mentioned above are fantastic for teaching ideas, techniques and inspiration. But sometimes, it’s important to take a break from everything and just have a good laugh!

Bored Teachers offers some of the best teacher blogs for humour and has made our top six as a result.

Not only are these blogs knowledgeable about a range of issues currently happening within the education sector, but they are also acutely aware of the highs, lows, and hilarities that come hand in hand with teaching and how to make the best of it all!
