Finding a job is getting more and more difficult as it is so much harder for candidates to differentiate themselves nower days. This is why most if not all uni's will now offer placement years. Here are a couple of reasons why you should choose to undergo a year in industry

Placements provide you with the opportunity to apply what you have learnt to real-world problems.

There’s no knowing the future opportunities that might arise via the connections you make during your year in industry. Many companies offer graduate roles upon the successful completion of your placement year, and some will even cover your tuition fees for your final year.

Most students will graduate with little to no work experience relevant to their degree, so having a full year of experience is guaranteed to propel you miles ahead of the competition.
